X-Trial: Toni Bou Wins Sixth World Title in Milan

Ladies and Gentlemen, Toni Bou has passed into history. With the win last night in Milan, Repsol Montesa rider has on file the World Championship FIM X-2012 Indoor Trial, a race to spare. And above all: the sixth consecutive title! Result of a triumphal ride that saw him excel in all six stages played so far this season.

Just think that with the victory at the Forum of Assam, for Toni it was the 15th consecutive year that rose to the top step of the podium in the discipline Indoor (not the last occasion on which he succeeded, dates back to January 23, 2010 in Marseille, where he arrived "only" 2°). Already this year, lr stages of Strasbourg, Geneva, Marseille, Madrid and Palma de Mallorca have become theaters of evolution and performance of a pilot innavicinabile.

This new world title consecrates the Repsol Montesa Honda ace as one of the most important figures in the history of the specialty. At only 26 years, his sixth consecutive world makes it the most successful driver nell'Indoor, surpassing Dougie Lampkin (Still at 5 titles). To these goals, we must add 5 World Championships and 7 more in Outdoor in Spain (5 indoor and 2 outdoor). Toni Bou will enjoy well-deserved triumph in Paris, in a week, for the concluding event of the X-Trial Championship 2012.
